Continuity plan

Our wholly owned dedicated 18,000 sq ft continuity office facility, complete with extensive car parking and helicopter landing site is located high on the Blackdown hills, 10 miles East of our Head Quarters in Taunton. The former MOD radio listening site is set in a high security compound protected by CCTV in its own fully self sufficient premises. The offices provide an immediate fully functional facility allowing us to continue operations 24 hours per day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. In addition to regular Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity tests, all WPA’s staff routinely work on the live systems at the site on a rotating basis to maintain the operational readiness of the site and their own familiarisation with our Business Continuity plans.

Prevention is, as they say, better than cure, so notwithstanding this parallel working facility, WPA continually tests its physical and electronic security at both sites, together with the integrity of its systems and networks, in order to maintain customer service of the highest levels. Indeed, we regularly commission independent external specialised auditors to undertake this work in order to maintain the highest possible standards in this complex and ever changing environment.
